SlackerFactor
Assuring Shared Costs are Shared
Home Demo About Us FAQ Policy Login
SlackerFactor keeps track of shared costs, such as a shared apartment or road trip or club project. You create an account for your house or apartment, shared hunting lease, sports team, or church trip. Each person who pays a bill ( such as the phone, gas, cable or rent ) enters in what they paid. SlackerFactor automatically calculates who owes whom how much, no matter how many people paid different bills of different amounts.

A "SlackerFactor" score is kept for each individual; this is a running average of how much they are owed against how much they owe others. The shame of a high SlackerFactor score will encourage laggards to pay up !

Start Sharing Bills Painlessly:

  1. Create a new group: it is simple and does not "sign you up" for anything. Just fill in the group name, choose your user name, and your email address, and click "Send".
  2. Invite the people you will share costs with (your roommates) into the group with the "Add User" button - they will get an email and log in.
  3. Start recording your bills.
  4. Stop fighting over money, stop wasting time adding up receipts on paper, stop wasting time tracking down people, stop wondering if you are a moocher or a chump, and start using SlackerFactor.
SlackerFactor is mostly used by college students to keep track of shared apartment or house costs, but it is also suitable for non-ongoing projects, such as shared cost of a road trip, or other projects such as caring for a hunting lease or rebuilding a car. If more than one person is paying the bills, and more than one person should be contributing, SlackerFactor will make sure no one gets left holding the bag.
